Kochi Prefecture is known for its "bonito tataki.
Among them, "Tosa Myojin" will be a new challenge from Myojinmaru, which has often been featured on TV and other media.
What is the Myojin Maru?
50 years of katsuo (dried bonito).
Myojin Suisan" is now Japan's largest bonito fishery.
The traditional Tosa fishing method of "ipponzuri fishing," in which bonito is caught with a single fishing rod, has been practiced since the establishment of the company and supports the food culture of Kochi.
We started offering Myojin Suisan's prized bonito directly to customers with our own hands at "Myojin Maru".
We now have six stores in Kochi Prefecture, including Hirome Market in Kochi Prefecture, and six stores outside of the prefecture, including Tokyo and Osaka.
Myojinmaru uses only bonito caught by the traditional Tosa method of fishing with a single pole.
At Tosa Myojin, we take full advantage of the Myojin Maru.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes that make the most of seasonal Tosa ingredients, including bonito dishes such as bonito tataki, a carefully selected bonito with a high fat content.
The specialty, "Straw-baked Salted Bonito Tataki" is a gem with a distinctive aroma, which is grilled in the restaurant to order.
Enjoy delicate dried bonito flakes shaved in the restaurant, earthenware pot rice made from carefully selected freshly milled rice, authentic dishes prepared with Tosa binchotan charcoal, as well as Tosa's local cuisine and locally brewed sake.
